Phu Quoc is a resort paradise in Vietnam, in the summer ATASTAY spent a vacation at the InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort and the results were beyond expectation. Here we would like to share a few experiences when staying at the resort as follows:

InterContinental Phu Quoc is quite isolated, located about 20 minutes from Duong Dong town and about 30 minutes by car from the famous fishing village of Ham Ninh. Before coming to Phu Quoc, please contact the resort for airport shuttle service.

In contrast to InterContinental Da Nang which is luxurious and sophisticated in design, InterContinental Phu Quoc is almost the complete opposite with a modern and simpler style, harmonious combination between modern design and local traditional culture. It feels as if you are walking into your own apartment instead of a hotel room.

The main hall is decorated with basket boats hanging from the high ceiling as a message of history and culture of indigenous people, and this is solemnly placed at the entrance. Another impressive feature is the rippling sand wall in the entrance hall. Natural sea sand is cleverly sprayed onto the walls, creating an eye-catching decorative wave. InterContinental Phu Quoc's large hall is beautifully designed with a sea view and a cool blue lake flowing right in front. As soon as you step into the hall, you will clearly feel the sea breeze of Phu Quoc spreading throughout the space.

All corners of the resort are luxurious and sophisticated, the sea, sandy beaches, and the resort's view are quite beautiful and there are many virtual living corners. The swimming pool area especially has some beautiful flower cages. Please come and experience for yourself.

Rooms

Located on the quiet southern strip of Bai Truong and with a starfish-like design, InterContinental Phu Quoc has a total of 459 rooms divided into a variety of rooms from standard rooms to tastefully decorated 4-bedroom villas. Upon entering the room, the first impression is that the room is luxuriously huge, beautiful and clean. Inside the room, not only is there a dressing room, a standing bathroom, but also a bathtub and a small garden with incredible views overlooking the sea. This open and unblocked space between you and the sea means that you can enjoy waking up in the morning, lazing in the daybed watching the clouds and the sky or listening to the ocean waves that brings about a pleasant and calm feeling.

RESTAURANT

InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort offers guests a diverse dining experience from various dining outlets, including Sora & Umi, Lava, Sea Shack and Ombra. Guests can enjoy an international buffet breakfast, as well as Japanese and Vietnamese dishes. Lunch and dinner at the restaurant Sora & Umi. While Lava restaurant offers seafood and beer in a sea front setting. Sea Shack Restaurant serves a selection of BBQ dishes, while Ombra specializes in Italian cuisine. Guests can relax with a refreshing cocktail at INK 360, the highest sky bar in Phu Quoc. With a beautiful view to the sea.

At Sora & Umi Restaurant: Located on the second floor of the central hall with a direct view of the pool and sea, the Sora & Umi restaurant is the place where I will enjoy breakfast every day. Breakfast at Sora & Umi must say is very, very full of dishes from Vietnamese, Japanese, u and other Asian dishes. The food here is extremely delicious. You can try breakfast with Miso Japanese soup, a delicious bowl of pho, or a special hot roll. If you are interested in energetic morning dishes, you can try the smoked salmon sandwiches with bread. Then for dessert with delicious unsweetened Greek yogurt.

Sora & Umi Restaurant also serves lunch and dinner with an à la carte menu. The menu is not new, but the quality of the food is undisputed, super delicious. Phu Quoc specialties are delicately processed and easy to eat.

 

 

Located right next to the Oasis swimming pool, Ombra restaurant specializes in serving Italian dishes such as pizza, pasta ... as well as cocktails, mocktails and juice. The Italian food here is cooked by an Italian chef, so the taste is very authentic, true Italian cuisine. Linguine noodles with lobster are super delicious. Al-dente noodles are just cooked to eat and still fit very well. Besides the pasta dish, the risotto rice with mushrooms and cheese is also delicious. There is nothing better than being immersed in the water while enjoying the food just a few steps away.

Sea Shack serves lunch and dinner. ATASTAY offers a set menu of typical seafood dishes of Sea Shack including Thai shrimp salad, fried squid with salt and pepper, seafood combo, lobster sandwich and homemade coconut cream dessert. Enjoying dinner on the sand amidst the waves is a great experience.

 

The design of INK 360 bar is mainly an octopus with unique tentacles throughout the bar. Come to INK 360 - The tallest Sunset bar in Phu Quoc Anh at the time of the brilliant sunset to see the sea surface slowly turning to pink as well as this beautiful island panorama.
