If there is a list of most unique and easily recognisable hotels in the world, then Keemala is definitely one of them. Like a magical place born out of those jungle tribes that we see in movies, Keemala is a tribal village themed luxury resort that is set among the hills and lush woodlands of Phuket overlooking the Kamala Village and the Andaman Sea.

If that does not sound magical enough, the resort is further divided into 4 themes that are in line with the 4 Kamala clans that made Phuket their home centuries ago.

These 4 themes and the distinctly shaped villas each represent the “Earth”, “Wanderer”, “Sky” and “Nest” Clan, in which we fell in love with the Nest Clan which is symbolised by the Instagram worthy and surreal Bird’s Nest Pool Villas. Check out how the treetop villas are actually built around nature instead of the other way round, for example, you will notice that there are trees penetrating through the suspended balcony, sun decks or the villas’ private pool.

Tucked away from crowded touristy areas and made to look like an enchanted fairytale jungle village, we are sure Keemala will appeal to our inner child yearning for a treehouse adventure.

    Rooms

Inspired by 1 of the 4 clans that made Phuket their home centuries ago, the Bird’s Nest Pool Villa (only 8 units) is modelled after the Rung-Nok Clan (Nest Clan) that enjoyed the most extravagant and opulent life of the 4 clans.

If you are a nature loving person, you will definitely fall in love with this surreal villa just by looking at it from the outside.

Surrounded by rainforest and built among the treetop, the interior structure of the villa like its walls are decorated with exposed and neatly aligned raw wood materials, lamp structures and other furnishings like the coffee table and stools around the room follows the same natural and primitive build concept as well.

However, do not be fooled by its exterior and design as this villa has no lack of the modern resort amenities like the oversized king bed that comes with Egyptian cotton sheets and monsoon shower just to name a few to make your stay a comfortable and memorable one. We bet you will spend a lot of time either in the standalone bathtub which sometimes comes with a sea view, or the private pool and sun deck area as you are literally close to nature or should we say, be one with nature, yet in the comfort of your villa.

No words is enough to describe this super luxuriously huge 185sqm villa without experiencing it in person, and we are sure you will keep a look out for this villa when planning your next getaway to Phuket.

    The‌ ‌following‌ ‌are‌ ‌just‌ ‌some‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌amenities‌ ‌you‌ ‌can‌ ‌expect:‌

Oversized king size bed with Egyptian cotton sheets

Private infinity pool and sun deck

    Luxurious bathroom amenities

    Tea, traditional coffee maker

Size: 185m² including 20m² outdoor terrace

    Climate Control

Partial sea views and forest views

    Restaurants

Two dining destinations to enjoy cuisine outside of the villa. The main restaurant, ‘Mala Restaurant’, for all day dining, at ‘Cha-La’ pool side for refreshments in the sun. Cozy lounge area inside one of the main pods is perfect for afternoon tea, while the wine cellar is ideal for intimate dinners. You can choose the healthy Spa Cuisine version of the menu for a lighter. A full vegetarian and vegan menu is also available, as well as gluten-free and dairy-free selections. A variety of herbs, vegetables, and fruits are grown in resort and outsourced.

    Utilities and Entertainment

Swimming Pool setting along with the private pools within Keemala's villas, there is a large shared pool at the centre of the resort for you to enjoy. The poolside is the perfect place for quiet relaxation, a little sunbathing and a refreshing swim. You can order poolside service from Cha-La Pool Bar.

Fitness Hub, a work out place which will make you feel energised and accomplished, offering a fantastic fitness hub with weight training and cardiovascular equipment to keep you in peak performance.

Mala spa treatments have been carefully curated to incorporate elements of ocean, earth, fire, air and ether, as well as our own unique Keemala rituals designed by our spa team and inspired by the stories of the Keemala clans and their distinctive way of living.
