For those of you who want to travel abroad, now you don’t have to worry anymore.

This is because the Indonesian government has officially relaxed a number of quarantine rules and RT-PCR tests for Indonesian citizens (WNI) and foreign citizens (WNA) entering Indonesia.

The following are the requirements to enter Indonesia referring to SE 17/2022:

Indonesian Entry Requirements Without PCR Test and Quarantine:

Referring to the SE 17/2022 , Overseas Travelers (PPLN) who have been vaccinated with the second dose and booster dose do not need to do the RT-PCR test and do not need to be quarantined with the following conditions:

  • Detected not having COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Having a body temperature below 37.5 degrees Celsius can continue the journey without the need to undergo PCR and Quarantine tests.

Without PCR Test As for this category:

For PPLN who are detected to have no symptoms of COVID-19 and have a body temperature below 37.5 degrees Celsius, they can continue their journey without a PCR test with the following conditions.

  • PPLN / Overseas Travelers has not been able to get vaccinated or has been vaccinated with the first dose of at least 14 days before departure is required to quarantine for 5×24 hours.
  • PPLN / Overseas Travelers who are under 18 years of age and/or need special protection, then quarantine follows the provisions applied to parents or caregivers/travel companions.
  • PPLN / Overseas Travelers with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that cause travellers to have not and/or not be able to take part in the COVID-19 vaccination, are allowed to continue the journey by being obliged to attach a doctor’s certificate from the Government Hospital of the country of departure stating that the person concerned has not and/or cannot following the COVID-19 vaccination.

For Those Who Have Confirmed COVID-19 in 30 Days:

For PPLN / Overseas Travelers who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 a maximum of 30 days before departure and have been declared inactive in transmitting COVID-19, the following Indonesian entry requirements apply:

  • Exempted from the obligation to show a COVID-19 vaccination card/certificate and a negative RT-PCR result before departure.
  • Mandatory re-examination of RT-PCR upon arrival.
  • Attach a doctor’s certificate or COVID-19 recovery certificate from the Government Hospital of the country of departure or the ministry that carries out government affairs that the person concerned is no longer actively transmitting COVID-19.
